Disaster or a Golden Opportunity for US Manufacturers

I have just finished reading the new book: "The End of the World is Just the Beginning - Mapping the Collapse of Globalization" by Peter Zeihan. This is an excellent book and is recommended reading for anyone involved in manufacturing in the USA. Peter's central thesis that we are at the beginning of a Global Supply Chain collapse, with which I agree, as I see it happening with my own eyes.

This can be a golden opportunity, resulting in as much as a 100% growth in US manufacturing over the next five years, if we can find and train the people to run these manufacturing plants. Otherwise it will be an unmitigated disaster for the USA.

Studies have shown that as much as 50% of people's time in manufacturing plants and distribution warehouses is wasted doing intelligent grunt work.
